Best Place to Live in Dubai
I recently spent two months in Dubai, after having spent almost all of 2020 at home in Florida. This was my first time living in Dubai, although I was already quite familiar with the city having lived for a year in Abu Dhabi in 2018. If you've visited Dubai before, you'll know that its crazy roads and endless traffic make getting around a bit tiresome. This is where the Marina comes in. The Dubai Marina is its own little oasis in the massive development that is the city of Dubai, and there are many reasons why living here is your best bet while you're in the UAE.
1. MOVE The Marina is extremely walkable/cyclable and tons of people own or rent little electric scooters to move about. You can walk to the beach in 10 minutes, the Marina mall is right in the center of the area, and there are restaurants everywhere.

2. KEEP COOL
As the Marina is situated right on the water the temperatures here feel way cooler than the rest of inland Dubai. You've got the sea breeze and the actual marina bay that flows right through the center of everything, so you're constantly surrounded by water.

3. YOGA
If you're a yoga lover, as I am, you'll find an endless number of studios with awesome schedules that run all day long providing a multitude of different types of classes.
My personal favorite studio, offering classes all day long, they also run amazing retreats in the desert during the cool season.
As the name suggests, you'll get nice and sweaty at this studio. They offer all hot classes in both the mornings and evenings, with a few classes around noon too.
This studio probably offers the best variety of classes including all the expected Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hot and Yin, as well as regular Sound Healing, Meditation, Barre and Swing classes.
4. COFFEE SHOPS
The Marina promenade is full of a variety of coffee shops. This is one of the most important things I look out for when relocating. I highly recommend %Arabica as its coffee might be the best I've ever had. Their prices are a bit high, but it's so worth it.
5. SUNSETS
The sunsets. Need I say more? No matter where you are in the Marina, the whole place just lights up at sunset, and if you're eager to catch the sun going down behind Blue Island and the Dubai Eye, all you've got to do is head across one of the bay bridges and you've got front-row views.
To sum up, if you're anything like me and love the sea, sand, coffee, yoga, and sunsets, the Marina is definitely your best bet for living in Dubai!
